I’m leaving for Vancouver in less than 24 hours!!! I like to call this upcoming trip my month of self healing because I’ve had such a rough and hectic 2017 so far that I need this time away to reconnect with myself. As a fan of lists, here’s what I’d like to accomplish for the next 30 days:
1) Meditate 5 minutes daily
I don’t care if it’s in the morning, afternoon or at night but I need to disconnect from any distraction for at least 5 minutes.
2) Eat HEALTHY everyday
Montreal has so many decadent places to try with friends which I wouldn’t go to by myself. It’s a good thing I don’t know anyone in Vancouver and they have Whole Foods <3
3) Keep working out 3-5 times a week
I still didn’t figure out where I could train.. Depending on the prices, it might be a regular gym or a CrossFit gym. I also want to run the sea wall once a week!
4) Go to the beach daily
I’ll be living a few blocks away from at least one beach. Unless it’s raining, I’d like to go for a swim or just sit in the sand for a while. Maybe I’ll be able to meditate there!
5) Get creative
As in get back to creating more regular videos and articles! Make sure to follow either my Instagram, Facebook or YouTube account to not miss out on anything.
6) Visit Vancouver Island
So many places to see! I might start with Victoria on my first week to see a friend if I can take off work. I really have to read about all the cities and the best way to get around.
7) Read all the books
Starting with Robb Wolf’s Wired To Eat! Oh and speaking of which, if you’ve watched the vegan documentary What The Health, here’s an interesting article of his to check out.
8) Visit trendy & healthy joints
Thanks for Erin Ireland’s daily stories, I have a big list including a place that serves “ice cream” made from coconut water 🙌.
9) Stretch daily
To fix my never-ending back pain. I found this video recently that I’m keeping for this exactly!
10) Know Vancouver like a local
I visited Vancouver years ago but I was a different person. I want to rediscover the city and give every neighbourhood at least a full day to walk around and learn about. There are lots of farmer’s markets happening so that will be a great way to get around.
Bonus
I’m not going to stress myself with it but I did finally register for Car2Go. It would be real sweet for me to just rent one of those from time to time while in Vancouver to keep working on my driving (aka being confident AF) — even if it’s just to drive to the gym. Will look into that 😉
