I was lucky enough to leave for Mexico for the holidays that just passed. This is where I stayed:
Verana is located in Yelapa, Mexico which is about one hour from Puerto Vallarta. You can actually see the city from the other side. The concept of this five star boutique hotel is to mix contemporary design with nature.
All of the eight houses available are cohabiting with the jungle and you might end up with one wall missing or none at all. The perfect experience whether it's day or night!
The breakfast was served between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM following a tea with a warm muffin dropped at our door each morning at 8 AM.
The options on the menu were all exciting and the plates were perfect.
Verana is also a day spa which is outside of the "hotel". It's a five-minute walk down to the coast and a beautiful restaurant is open for lunch to serve amazing food while you enjoy the view.
The chef working at the spa is a young and passionate cook and it is definitely translated into his food.
We received a delicious lunch on each activity day spent away from Verana. On a hiking trip to Tecumata Falls, our final stop was at a ranch where a lovely lady prepared coconuts for us.
The bar was the meet-up spot on evenings to have a refreshing cocktail and chat with the other guests. I spent some wonderful times there and got to try exciting margaritas such as Chili Margaritas, Passion Fruit Margaritas and Hibiscus Margaritas.
